“The Spellshop” is Sarah Beth Durst’s debut romantasy, featuring Kiela, a librarian, and her sentient spider plant assistant, Caz. After a revolution destroys the Great Library of Alyssium, they flee to Kiela’s neglected childhood home on a distant island. With the empire's neglect causing destructive storms and suffering among the local populace, Kiela feels compelled to open a secret spellshop to help the community, despite the risks of death for sharing magic. As she engages with the townsfolk, she learns to break down her emotional barriers. This charming tale combines romance, magic, and heartwarming themes. February 2 -6pm March 16 - 6pm
